Who we are

Nevis Tax (“Nevis”, “we”, “us”) provides accounting and tax services to sole traders, landlords, and small businesses in the United Kingdom, over WhatsApp. You can reach us at +44 7893 936039 or by post at 2 Eastbourne Terrace, London W2 6LG, United Kingdom.

Nevis Tax is a private service and is not affiliated with HM Revenue & Customs or any government body.

What we collect

Your WhatsApp number and name, because that is how the conversation works.
Your answers to our questions about your work, income, and expenses.
Bank statements you choose to send us, as screenshots or PDFs, for the purpose of preparing your audit or your filings.
Payment records if you join, handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.

We do not collect anything you do not send us. This website itself sets no cookies and runs no trackers or analytics.

How we use it

For one purpose: doing the work you asked for. That means preparing your free accounting audit, and, if you engage us, preparing and submitting your filings and answering your questions. We do not sell your data, share it for marketing, or add you to mailing lists. We never had your email anyway.

How long we keep it

Bank statements sent for a free audit are deleted from our systems within 24 hours of your audit being delivered.
Chat history is kept while we are talking, so we have context, and deleted on request at any time.
If you become a client, we keep the records needed to prepare and defend your filings for as long as the law requires accounting records to be kept, and then delete them.

Who else touches your data

Three kinds of processors, each only for its own job:

WhatsApp (Meta) carries the messages. They are end-to-end encrypted in transit.
Stripe processes payments if you join.
HMRC receives your filings, if and only if you have engaged us to file for you, and you have approved what we are filing.

Nobody else. We will never pass your details to advertisers, data brokers, or “partners”.

What we will never ask for

We never ask for passwords, online banking logins, card details in chat, or one-time codes. If anyone claiming to be Nevis asks for any of these, it is not us; stop and report the number to us directly.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you may ask us, at any time and in plain words over WhatsApp, to:

show you a copy of everything we hold about you;
correct anything that is wrong;
delete what we hold, subject to records the law requires us to keep;
stop processing while we resolve a complaint.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Legal notice

Figures in the free accounting audit are estimates of what you may be missing, based on the information you provide. They are verified properly when you engage us.
Nothing on this website is personal tax advice until we have looked at your individual circumstances and confirmed our advice to you in writing.
Every allowance we claim is based on published HMRC guidance and legislation. We do not advise on or operate tax avoidance schemes.
This page and the services described on it are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
